Rarely in the electronic music world nowadays does an album come along that is so ground breaking and earth shattering, it renews the listener with a second wind of inspiration, enthusiasm, and vitality. And when it does, the amount of mediocrity one needs to sift through to discover it requires a metal detector and a sturdy mental shovel. However, this album, 'My Little Forest', by Israeli producer and virtuoso Argaman, is the exception to this and so many other perceived rules. Having been playing and composing orchestral and classical music since the age of 6, by the time he reached adulthood, his highly sought after scores were being featured in box office films. Then, Argaman was introduced to electronic music, which completely distorted and revamped his perceptions. His debut project album, 'My Little Forest', encapsulates a life of musical composition and arrangement which spans both decades and genres. This cornucopia of sound and style draws from a virtual buffet of instruments, both classical and digital, whose genre influences draw from IDM, dub, ambient and the classical training he received as a child. 'My Little Forest' is nigh indescribable using verbal vernacular. Although an attempt has been made to do so below, the best recommendation the reviewer can offer is to listen to yourself and learn why words simply don't do this ten track masterpiece of art justice. Afterwards, you will be telling your friends all about this amazing artist project as excitedly and kiddishly as the reviewer is as well.

Goa Trance

Определенная конфигурация транса, проснувшаяся после 94-го года. Выделяется из
других трансовых форм обильным употреблением «кислотных» звуков. Большое количество булькающих и свистящих звуков сделанных с применением Roland TB-303 или его аналогов. Ритм прямой, 140-160 bpm. Довольно строгий. Электронные мелодии в привычном представлении этого словоизвержения просто отсутствуют. По настроению эта музыка просто несет в себе малую мрачность и агрессивность.

Literally years in the making, this is the brainchild of 4 of some of the scene's most talented producers: Dylalien and Quasar (Fractal Cowboys) from Alpha Centauri, now residing in San Francisco and Dejan Mihailovic and Karim Gressier (The Many Faces) from France.
Both Fractal Cowboys and The Many Faces need no introduction. Fractal Cowboys have been receiving a lot of support from Goa Gil in his world famous sets and have been featured on compilations from Mistress of Evil and Manic Dragon, while Dylalien as a solo artist has also been featured on compilations from Avatar and Vertigo. Quasar has already released a successful solo album on San Francisco-based label Mistress of Evil as well as releasing tracks on a multitude labels including Doof, Dropout, Avatar, Evil Knivel and more.
Meanwhile, Dejan, half of The Many Faces, who has been living in Japan for some time now, is already one of the most accomplished and sought-after dark psy producers, with tracks on labels like Deja Vu, Dropout, Kabrathor, Tantrumm, Trishula and Vertigo; as well as collaborations with many other top producers such as Baphomet Engine, Shenz, Jun and of course Terminator with whom he released the full length album 'Overdrive' on Russia's Vertigo Records. BAPHOMET ENGINE today is the solo act of Fбbio Aurйlio Siqueira from Brazil. Coming from a musical background, Fбbio was involved in Thrash Metal bands since 1992. In 1998 with a true musical background and a real psychedelic state of mind, Baphomet Engine started (with Luis Fernando Secchinatto) by creating an incredible experience with a powerful energy. Experimenting with a wide range of sounds and frequencies, the music developed is to reveal to you the insanity and chaos of the "true" world. The first break into psy-trance came with the inclusion of their track "Espanta Santo" on Alkaloid's compilation True Reality in 2004. Yana was born in 1984, Moscow. For Yana, her psytrance journey began in 2003 when she became acquainted with Vishnevskiy Maxim (G-Light). One day, Maxim suggested to her to use her vocals in one of his tracks. During this work, her first track was created "i've just been born" and has been released on the Israeli label, Doof Records. Further producing has been directed towards preparing the material for an album with G-Light. After, she engaged in writing music for her own solo project with the new concept of combining dark rhythms and a thin vocal. Since 2005 till 2007 she was the resident of one of the biggest russian promotion group - Synthetic Dreams. And even has written a special named track in honour of this company. In autumn 2007 she joined one of leading russian promotion group of Moscow T.L.N Promotion. She played at numerous capital clubs, open air's and festivals around Russia and worldwide as well. During her act, Z-Cat uses light & laser performances!

Okta is one of the projects by Finnish producer Marlo Snellman. GMS появились в 95-ом году в Амстердаме , этот проект был начат тремя голландскими парнями , называющими себя Riktam , Bansi и Sebastian Claro . Тогда Риктам и Банси уже были известными транс диджеями и их почти каждый вик-энд приглашали играть на вечеринках по всему миру .
После просиживания в студиях у друзей и ознакомления с ними , они стали покупать собственное оборудование , постепенно создавая свою студию . Они сами научились пользоваться всем этим , и начали писать музыку . Это было не так трудно , потому что они умели играть на некоторых инструментах , что к тому же сочеталось с их хорошими способностями в этой области .

В 96-ом , некие высшие силы отняли у группы Себастьяна , и с тех пор GMS это только Риктам и Банси , и иногда еще и Shanti - младший брат Риктама , который принимал участие во многих треках GMS и время от времени работал вместе с ними в студии .

Для GMS музыка это способ самовыражения , и выход их энергий , вскрывающих их самих и людей на танцполе .
Они не называют свою музыку гоа транс , техно , техно транс , или как-то еще , они просто делают хорошую музыку , а люди называют ее так , как им нравится.

В 97-ом GMS перенесли свою студию из Амстердама на Ибицу , самое музыкальное и клубное место европы . Ибица стала местом , давшим сильнейшее вдохновение участникам GMS . Там было полно студий , выпускающих все типы музыки , также как и огромное количество вечеринок , где они могли играть свои новейшие треки , заодно и проверять их качество .
В 2000-ом Риктам и Банси вместе с Seth Hoffman и Xena открыли свой собственный лэйбл , названный Spun . Первым релизом на Spun стал диск "GMS versus Systembusters".
